Keep reading! This Grade 2 English Language Arts program is based on the Alberta curriculum and follows a Balanced Literacy format. This program has three main components:
Logic of English Foundations: Students gain phonemic awareness, learn to read and write 74 basic phonograms (letter-sound relationships) and increase reading fluency through structured but playful activities.
Guided Reading: Students will read Key Links leveled readers and complete an accompanying Reading Response.
Read-Aloud: Students’ parent or caregivers will read popular children’s literature to them. Each book has an assignment to complete.

📚 Materials are loaned at no cost, but must be returned at the end of the school year, or the student will be charged replacement costs.
