Course Overview and Materials
In this course, you’ll gain the mathematical understanding and critical thinking skills appropriate for entry into the majority of trades or direct entry into the workforce. This is a hands-on course that allows you to apply your knowledge of subjects to real-world situations. Topics include probability, statistics, measurement, business plans, and more. There are three supervised tests in this course.
In order for a student to be successful in this course, VVS requires a minimum of 50% in Mathematics 20-3 or 40% in Mathematics 20-2. If a student has not taken the prerequisite course, they are still responsible for ensuring they have the prerequisite knowledge. This course content assumes that a student has learned the topics covered in the prerequisite course. Prerequisite topics are not re-taught in this course.
