Course Description
If you are intending to pursue a college diploma program or a technical trades (note that requirements for trades vary, so we recommend that you investigate prior to registering in this course) this is the course for you. In English Language Arts (ELA) 30-2, you will explore a variety of texts (visuals, poetry, modern drama, film, and novel). You will also receive lots of instruction and practice writing in a variety of contexts, especially in preparation for the required provincial diploma exam.
There is a supervised midterm and final exam in this course as well as a diploma exam. Both the course mark and diploma exam mark are required for a final mark to appear on your transcript.
