This non-calculator based course is intended to prepare students for entering post-secondary studies in engineering or other science related programs. Topics you’ll study include precalculus, limits, derivatives and their applications, curve sketching, trigonometry, exponential and logarithmic functions, and integrals.
The course material is sectioned into 7 units. Each unit contains a practice quiz and one or two unit assignments. There are 4 supervised tests (Unit 1/2, Unit 3/4, Unit 5/6, and Unit 7) and a supervised Final Exam. Students must complete the Final Exam to earn credit for this course.
If a student has not taken the prerequisite course, they are still responsible for ensuring they have the prerequisite knowledge. This course content assumes that a student has learned the topics covered in the prerequisite course. Prerequisite topics are not re-taught in this course.
