Taking science further! In this course, you’ll investigate topics such as circulation and genetics, acid-base chemistry, organic chemistry, electromagnetic radiation, and energy resources. This course is an academic science course that covers biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. There are 4 supervised unit exams, a supervised midterm and a final exam in this course.
Both the course mark and diploma exam mark are required for a final mark to appear on your transcript.
In order for a student to be successful in this course, VVS requires a minimum of 65% in at least one of the prerequisite courses. If a student has not taken the prerequisite course, they are still responsible for ensuring they have the prerequisite knowledge. This course content assumes that a student has learned the topics covered in the prerequisite course. Prerequisite topics are not re-taught in this course.
