Social Studies 1

This course is based on the NEW Alberta curriculum. Students will be guided to discover their sense of identity, family, groups and community. They will explore Alberta's landmarks, what it means to be Canadian, trade, and culture. The three units of study include:

• Unit 1: Time and Place

• Unit 2: Systems

• Unit 3: Citizenship

PRIMARY STUDENTS: Materials are loaned at no cost, but must be returned at the end of the school year, or the student will be charged replacement costs. 

ESA & INTERNATIONAL/OUT-OF-PROVINCE STUDENTS: Fees apply to required materials. Reusable loan materials have a refundable cautionary fee as per our Refund Policy.
