Course Overview and Materials
Everything changes! If you’re interested in science but don’t plan to pursue a post-secondary program with a focus on science, this is the course for you. In Science 20, you’ll explore the concept of change, including chemical changes and changes in motion, and get an overview of topics in biology, chemistry, and physics. There are 10 supervised chapter assessments, a supervised midterm and a final exam in this course.
In order for a student to be successful in this course, VVS requires a minimum of 55% in Science 10. If a student has not taken the prerequisite course, they are still responsible for ensuring they have the prerequisite knowledge. This course content assumes that a student has learned the topics covered in the prerequisite course. Prerequisite topics are not re-taught in this course.
