Summer School for Grade 10-12 Students
Course Overview and Materials
How do things move? And why? Find the answers to those questions as you learn about a variety of objects in motion, from bullets to planets to waves. In this course, you’ll focus on kinematics, dynamics, circular motion, and gravitational and mechanical waves. There is a supervised midterm and final exam in this course.
Due to the short time frame of summer session, expect to be working on the course 5 to 7 hours each day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time Jobs should not be taken during this time. You will be completing one Unit per week during this course. There are no exemptions or extensions to the assignment closing deadlines provided at the start of the course.
*Tests are supervised using remote proctoring software called Proctorio. To write a Proctorio supervised test, students must have a computer or laptop with a microphone and a webcam.
Note: A digital copy of the required textbook chapters can be accessed within the online course. Students who want the full textbook may order the print textbook.
