Summer School for Grade 10-12 Students
Course Overview and Materials
Delve into the world of Chemistry and study the diversity of matter! Learn about chemical bonding; the nature of matter in the context of solutions, acids, and bases; and the quantitative relationships in chemical change.
This course has 25 assessment items: 19 assignments, 5 unit quizzes and 1 final exam.
*The unit quizzes and final exam will be supervised using Proctorio remote supervision which requires photo ID, a computer with microphone and webcam, and the installation of a Chrome extension.
Students will be provided with a timeline of due dates to follow, with units closing according to those due dates.
Due to the short time frame of the summer session, there can be no extensions to the unit closing dates and students should be committed to working on the course 5 hours per day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time jobs should not be taken during this time.
