Summer School for Grade 10-12 Students
Course Overview and Materials
In Biology 20 you will study topics like energy and matter exchange in the biosphere, ecosystems and population change, photosynthesis and cellular respiration, and human systems (circulatory, respiratory, excretory, muscular).
This course has 28 assessments: 23 assignments (quizzes), 4 unit tests and 1 final exam.
*The unit test and final exam will be supervised using Proctorio remote supervision which requires photo ID, a computer with microphone and webcam, and the installation of a Chrome extension.
Students will be provided with a timeline of due dates to follow, with units closing according to those due dates.
Due to the short time frame of the summer session, there can be no extensions to the unit closing dates and students should be committed to working on the course 5 to 7 hours per day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time jobs should not be taken during this time.
In order for a student to be successful in this course, VVS requires a minimum of 60% in the prerequisite course.
