Physical Education 10 [3cr]

Keep moving! Develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to lead an active, healthy lifestyle. In this course, you’ll participate in 35 hours of activity from all five dimensions of the PE curriculum:

• Alternate Environments (outdoor activities)

• Dance

• Flexibility/Gymnastics

• Games

• Individual Activities

Students complete a minimum five hours in one or two activities of their choosing in each dimension. In addition to completing 35 hours of activity, you will be required to complete six projects. Each project will take between 1 and 3 hours to complete and can be completed in any order and at any time throughout the course.

• The Power of Activity

• CPR

• Final Reflection

Supervision: For each dimension, you will need a completed 'Supervisor's Declaration'. Remember that 100% of your activities MUST be supervised by a person over the age of 18. 

*Parental Supervision is allowed. Coaches, physical education teachers, fitness instructors, lifeguards, and competitive athletes are examples of people who also are fit to supervise.
