In this course, you’ll gain the mathematical understanding and critical thinking skills appropriate for entry into the majority of trades or direct entry into the workforce. Topics include personal finances, trigonometry, algebra, measurement, scale and representing 3D objects visually.
Due to the short time frame of summer session, expect to be working on the course 5 to 7 hours each day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time jobs should not be taken during this time.
There are two supervised tests in this course. To write each test, students must have a computer or laptop with a microphone and a webcam. An external webcam on a stand is preferred as the camera view must show a student's hands, papers, calculator and as much of the upper body as possible at all times during the test.
