Summer School for Grade 10-12 Students
Course Overview and Materials
This course is designed to provide students with skills needed to progress into Math 30-1, who will then be entering post-secondary studies in engineering or other science related programs.
Due to the short time frame of summer session, expect to be working on the course 5 to 7 hours each day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time jobs should not be taken during this time.
Math 20-1 contains four Proctorio supervised assessments:
Unit 1/2 Test
Unit 3/5 test
Unit 6/7 Test
Final Exam
*To write a Proctorio supervised assessment students must have a computer or laptop with a microphone and a webcam. An external webcam on a stand is preferred as the camera view must show a student from their hands to their head at all times during the assessment.
The Final Exam must be written in order to receive credit for the course.
Each mandatory unit has a unit assignment for marks and optional practice quizzes that are not for marks.
