Summer School for Grade 10-12 Students
Course Overview and Materials
Math for real life! In this course, you’ll gain the mathematical understanding and critical thinking skills appropriate for entry into the majority of trades or direct entry into the workforce. You’ll study topics such as money math, right angled triangles, measurement, and geometry. There is a supervised final exam in this course.
Due to the short time frame of summer session, expect to be working on the course 5 to 7 hours each day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time jobs should not be taken during this time.
*To write the final exam students must have a computer or laptop with a microphone and a webcam. An external webcam on a stand is preferred as the camera view must show a student from their hands to their head at all times during the assessment.
The final exam must be written in order to receive credit for the course.
