Users require company check
Open the email which is automatically sent each morning. It looks like this:
IMPT: This report is pulling users whose email addresses start with a domain which is not exactly like the name of the vendor as listed on our site. Many times it will be clear that the domain name is correct (example- Company name is MFI and domain is @groupMFI). Sometimes, it will be more complicated and will require us to do a bit of research, and other times we might find that we need to add the domain address to the company domain list in PeerSpot.
To start, click on the username hyperlink, which will take you to the username page on our site (looks like this):
Scroll down to the Admin Fields of the username page and find the “Company by ID” field:
Click on the hyperlinked Company ID number to be taken to the company page on our site. (If there is no Company ID link, then this user may be ignored).
The Company page looks like this:
Compare the domain name with the Company ID Name as both are listed in the email sent. For our example, the domain name for the email address used for this user is @sapo.pt and the company name is One Punch - Digital Creative Studio. The reason this user was pulled as an issue is because the domain name and company name are very different.
However, as seen in the screenshot below, the domain name for this company is actually the same domain name as the domain name for this user:
Therefore, there is no issue with this user. We should click “Verify domain” if it is not verified yet.
If the user’s domain is not in the company profile, but leads to the company's website (redirects) we can add the user's domain to the company profile as an additional domain and also verify it.
