To start a proposal in Dealhub click on the "create quote" button from the relevant opportunity in Salesforce.
Fill out the general information on the op and general information section. A few things to keep in mind:
Contacts- To add a contact, they will need to be on the opportunity.
Expiration date - If you have a discount that expires at a specific time, that must be reflected in the contract.
Document Type - Dealroom is the default; if you need the contract as a doc, choose "Word doc."
Which Documents? For new business, you will need an MSA and SOW; for existing business, you usually need an SOW.
If you are adding programs for a company that already has a package, mark that off in the general questions section. You will not be able to create a contract without a package if you skip this.
If you need a program to start or end on a specific date, choose a custom start or end date.
If you are doing a straight renewal of a past program you can pull that in using the "Get Subscription" button.
Use the product packages section to add in packages.
For leads you will be prompted to select a type of leads, you need to fill out each field in the product in order to publish the Dealroom.
Once you have either a package or you clicked off the existing package tick box you will be able to include add-ons in your proposal.
When filling out payment terms, if you are splitting the billing you will need to put an amount to be billed for each invoice. Make sure the "Total amount for invoices" matches the net amount of the contract, you will not be able to publish the contract if the number is not correct.
In the Dealroom section, you can choose what you want the prospect to see. You can add the Sales Deck, Case Studies etc. You can also add a personal welcome text.
You must choose an option for the discount approval info even if your discount is below the threshold for approval. If that is the case unclick and re-click the NA button.
The product summary will show a list of line items with their price discount etc. This is where you can add in discounts where relevant.
Quick Tip: Make sure to have your Dealroom as a draft before leaving the window or submitting.
Once you submit the Dealroom and it goes through the approval workflow you will have the option to publish. Our best practice is to use the quick publish option, which will generate a sharing link for the Dealroom.
Once a Dealroom is submitted it cannot be changed. If you need to make a change to a published room you will need to duplicate it and retract the one that is live.
To do this go back to the op and click on "View Quotes."
You will then see your proposals and have the option to duplicate them.
