Mapping AWS Marketplace Products to PeerSpot

Before starting, make sure you have:

• The AWS Marketplace Product Link (e.g., https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-xzkum7r4vmhhy).

• The PeerSpot Product Name.

Step 1: Extract the AWS Listing ID.

The AWS Listing ID is the unique part at the end of the AWS URL. From our example URL: .../marketplace/pp/prodview-xzkum7r4vmhhy

Step 2: Check for Existing Mappings.

Always verify if the product is already mapped. Navigate to the https://www.peerspot.com/aws_product_mappings/new. Paste the AWS Listing ID into the search bar. If a result appears: The product is already mapped. No further action is needed.

If "No results" appear: Proceed to Step 3 to create a new mapping.

Step 3: Create a New Product Mapping.

If the search returns no results, follow these steps to link the products.Click the "New product mapping" button. PeerSpot Product: select the correct product name from the dropdown menu. AWS Listing ID: paste the exact ID extracted in Step 1 (e.g., prodview-xzkum7r4vmhhy). Click "Create AWS product mapping".

Step 1: Check for Existing Mappings

Before searching AWS, verify if the PeerSpot product is already connected to a listing. Go to the https://www.peerspot.com/aws_product_mappings page. In the search column, enter the product name. If a mapping exists: The product is already linked. Note the Listing ID if needed.

Note: One PS product can have few AWS mappings and it is ok.

1. If no results appear: The product needs to be searched on AWS and mapped.

Step 2: Locate the Product on AWS

1. Open the AWS Marketplace website.

2. Search for the PeerSpot Product Name.

3. Locate the correct listing (ensure the vendor/brand matches).

4. Copy the AWS Listing ID from the end of the URL(example: prodview-344z5rxk4e7bg)

Step 3: Create the Mapping

Now that you have confirmed the product exists on AWS but isn't in our system, click "New product mapping" on the mappings page. PeerSpot Product: Search for and select the name you started with from the dropdown. AWS Listing ID: Paste the ID you just copied from the AWS Marketplace. Click "Create AWS product mapping".
