Sadlier Vocabulary Workshop
Completing the Sentence p.165
Now that you have been reading quite a bit about Ancient Egypt, it’s time to start focusing on what is truly important. When you read, there will be a lot of information in front of you, which is great! You’ll learn so much! Sometimes, we have to think about what is important and what is just for fun.
Let’s look into this a bit more. Turn to page 9 in the Ancient Egypt book on Reading A to Z.
Pyramids took many years to build. When a king was still alive, people began building his pyramid. The stones used to make the pyramid were huge. It took hard work to get the stones out of the ground, It took harder work to move the stones to where the pyramid would be built. Some stones were moved on boats. Other stones were moved over land using big sleds.
I underlined the important information because it taught me something about the topic. Let’s look at it.
