Yesterday, we read another chapter in The BFG and started to think about and write about the story. We focused a lot on how we feel about each of the characters and what is happening. Today and tomorrow, we are going to continue to read as well as write longer about what is happening in the story. Today we will focus on these two questions:
Which part is my favorite so far and why?
Which parts surprised me so far and why?
Today, you will be creating a cover page for your book.
Your cover needs to have the following things:
A title that tells your reader what your book is mostly about. A title gets capital letters for every word.
Your name
A detailed picture
Look back at the covers of some of your favorite Ancient Egypt books. What did you love about them? Make sure your cover is colorful and shows your reader what your book is mostly about! You can do one big picture or even a bunch of different pictures that show different things you wrote about. Today you will be just using pencil to sketch this out. Tomorrow you will be coloring it in! You can use any plain paper for this.
Today is your last day to take this assessment. Remember to click Turn it In when you are done.
