Observing Birds: Today we’re going to do one of my favorite things: learn about birds by observing. Scientists observe, or look closely, to learn more about things. If you have a birdfeeder, fill it up and see who comes to visit.
If you don’t have a birdfeeder, then watch this one https://www.allaboutbirds.org/cams/cornell-lab-feederwatch/ or make a birdfeeder using Cheerios https://happyhooligans.ca/cheerio-bird-feeders/ or orange peels https://happyhooligans.ca/orange-cup-bird-feeders-filled-with-nuts-berri/
Use this poster https://feederwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/PFW_Mini_Poster.pdf (check both pages) to learn the birds’ names.
Choose one bird and draw a detailed picture of it. Try to make the colors look just like the real bird.
Share your drawing in the kindersciencelab flipgrid and tell us about it.
