This week we are going to continue practicing our sight words!
When we get a new list of words, the first thing we do is to look through our words to make sure that we know what each word means. Today, you are going to look at the list of words below and make sure you know what each word means. Any word that you don't know, circle or write down and then ask someone (a friend, someone at home, your teacher) or look it up!
We are going to continue reading The BFG focusing on how we share our opinions about the text. We can say things like...
In my opinion...
I think...
I believe...
Today, we are going to read the next three chapters: Frobscottle and Whizzpoppers, Journey to Dream Country, and Dream-Catching. You can either read them on your own by clicking this link https://www.darranparkprimary.com/uploads/2/5/9/9/25990297/the_bfg.pdf
or listen to the story on the video created below.
Please share your opinions on Flip Grid! Click on the link below to share with the entire second grade class! https://flipgrid.com/thebfg2ndgrade

In writing today you will be creating a dedication page for your book. Think about who you want to dedicate your book to. It could be a family member, a friend, or even someone you learned about when studying Ancient Egypt! You can even dedicate your book to more than one person.
When you make a dedication page you say who the book is dedicated to and why.
You can use the dedication paper below or create your own using any plain paper!
