Before we can do that, let’s think about all of the things we know and want to know about Ancient Egypt. We are going to use a KWL chart, which lets us write down things that we already Know and things we Want to learn. Then, as you learn it you can jot down what you Learned in the last box! Lesson: Learning how to interview someone.
An interview is a conversation or discussion in which one person gets information from another person. During an interview it is important to ask questions that begin with words like: who, what, where, when, or why. It is important to ask questions that will give you a lot of information on the person you are interviewing. For example, “Do you play a sport?” will get you a “yes” or “no” response but, “What kind of sport do you like to play?” will give you a more detailed response.
Activity: Think about someone you would like to interview in your family. Could be someone who lives with you or it could be someone in which you would need to make a phone call to talk to them. Come up with some questions that you would like to ask them. Then, have your interview!
