Read the story, "The Skunk" below.
After reading the story, highlight the words that end with a suffix "-ing." If you did not print the story, create a list of all the words you find in the story that end in suffix "-ing."

Choose one book that your teacher has assigned for you.
Read the book and use the poster to guide your thinking. You may think aloud, share ideas with a family member, stop and jot on a post it, or print out the poster to respond. Retell your story using details from the beginning, middle, and end of your story.
Take out the picture of your teacher. Choose an activity to do with you teacher from the choice board below. On lined paper, write about what you did with your teacher. Be sure to include details and edit for spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
Go to www.IXL.com and login using your personal username and password
Click the "Learning" tab on the top left - -> "Recommendations" --> "Math"
Click the purple tab "First Grade"
