While it is always good practice for us all to embed digital citizenship daily in lessons and activities, October is the month to highlight Cybersecurity Awareness for staff and students. This is more important than ever with our students having 1:1 access to devices.

Canva Websites - RePublish

If you or your students previously published a Website through Canva, you'll need to RePublish and share the new URL. In an attempt to correct some FISD campus domain names, all FISD campus Canva domain URLs were reset and changed to a new naming convention. Anyone using a previous like will no longer have access to the site.

Another Site for the Block List- Zoom

It has come to out attention that students are using Zoom during class. Because of needs in some other classes, it cannot currently be blocked at the district level. If you would like students to not have access to Zoom during your class, add it to your Block list in Lightspeed's Classroom Relay. Directions.

Note: Only domains can be added to block lists. If there is anything after the "\" in the URL, it will not be blocked.

Updates: Eduphoria's Aware

AWARE to know: Some secondary teachers used copy/paste from SAVVAS into Aware. Since the answers were highlighted in SAVVAS, students are able to see the correct answers when they changed the color of their Chromebooks. If you copy/paste from another source, it is suggest to use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste only plain text without highlighting.

The Calculate Mastery option has been turned on in Aware. This feature will allow teachers to calculate Mastery Levels in addition to teachers setting them by standard by student.
