Mon, Jan 8 Presentation
At this time, EVERYONE should have logged into Incident IQ and added your room(s) to your profile. When our inventory is loaded later this month, you should see all assets assigned to your room (computer, doc cam, projector, etc). More instructions will be sent out at this time.
Classroom support staff (inclusion teachers and paraprofessionals) who are not the primary teacher of record do not need to add the room, unless you expect to enter a help ticket for assets located in the room.
To submit a ticket, follow these directions. If you submit a ticket for an asset not listed for you, for now, either search by Serial Number or type the FISD asset tag in the comments. Please reach out to Rachael Lopez or me with questions!
Please ensure these items were taken care of! CHS End-of Semester Technology To-Do List
The list is short and is for ALL STAFF. If you have any questions, please reach out!
If you didn't see this yet, please check it out! According to the article, this takes effect soon.
When students use generative artificial intelligence, they need methods to check for biases that may skew results to prompts. Read more.
Side note: The ideas shared in this Edutopia article are useful in detecting bias from all media, not just AI generated works.
Yesterday, Amy Wolford shared a brilliant idea that she came across on how to determine if students copied and pasted a prompt into an AI generator. Please reach out to Amy Wolford, Cody Chamberlain, Dr. Turner, or me if you're interested in the little trick!
By this time, directions to set up S2 courses (copy S1 into S2 or update the Blueprint) should be completed. Please reach out with questions!
Make sure your S2 course(s) is published so students can access it!
Schedule changes made in eSchool are updated in Canvas through the overnight sync.
If students still need to submit S1 assignments, locate the S1 assignment in your S2 course and assign it to that student. Everything from S1 should be copied into your S2 course and S1 assignments unpublished so it should be there.
Students will submit to the S1 assignment located in the S2 course.
Please reach out with questions!
