YouTube Shorts Blocked for Students on FISD Chromebooks

YouTube Shorts are now blocked for students using FISD Chromebooks. YouTube does not have a way for us to filter Shorts so they are all blocked. Because of the way our filter functions, Shorts cannot be blocked on BYOD devices unless you use Classroom Relay and a block list to block all of youtube.com. If you want a class to watch a YouTube Shorts video, you'll need to show it from the projector. Please reach out with questions!

Canvas & Google Reminder

This is a reminder that Google Cloud Assignments/Links will sunset this summer. If you previously used Google Cloud Assignments/Links that you might like to use again in the future, you have until May to get old Google Cloud Assignments and links switched out to Google Assignments LTI 1.3 Assignments and links. ONCE GOOGLE CLOUD ASSIGNMENTS SUNSET OVER THE SUMMER, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO OPEN CLOUD ASSIGNMENTS OR LINKS TO SEE WHICH GOOGLE DOC WAS ATTACHED.
