Algebra 1 (Del Pozzo, Garcia, Smartt) increased student engagement by using Genially as a platform to share review resources with their students. The team gathered videos and interactive games/practice for each topic on a coming assessment. I created the graphics (leaves) in Canva and compiled them in Genially along with links to the teacher provided resources. Students used this to practice the topics they need the most!
Sometimes just changing the way material is visually presented can increase student engagement!
This was initially created a few years ago but, following good practice, the team revisited the review materials and we updated resource links before sharing it with students.

World History (Kim Pearce, Travis Summerlin, Travis Maner) reached out to collaborate with Dr. Turner and me for their recent Renaissance Art lesson. We increased differentiation and student engagement by selecting a variety of media for students to explore while learning and reflecting on the content. We also ensured that the standards and FISD curriculum recommendations were covered in the lesson.
