Both Biology and AP Biology had WeVideo as an option on recent projects. WeVideo allows for super easy video editing for individuals or collaboratively editing with teams/groups in your classes. Students can upload video from phones or Chromebooks and edit on phones, Chromebooks, desktops, and other computer. WeVideo even works with green screen!
Biology students had the option to use WeVideo to produce creative videos about the Cell Cycle. They were to show and explain the stages in a creative way. Some teams imported graphics and talked over them. Other teams went above and beyond, using WeVideo's backdrops and music. WeVideo makes it easy to manipulate and edit each scene the kids think up.
AP Biology used WeVideo for a similar project. It involved the cell cycle with concentration on more AP focused topics including control of the cell cycle, checkpoints, specific enzymes like cyclin/cdk and loss of control dealing with the cell cycle. WeVideo was an option for video editing.
Frisco ISD pays for staff and students to access our paid domain within WeVideo. It is accessible from all types of devices! If you would like access to our FISD Domain within WeVideo, please reach out!
