Be on the lookout for Canvas notifications and X (Twitter) posts!
World Languages Level 2 (Caballero, Hayter, Hernandez, Van Cleave) recently created a Canvas assignment where students started from the teacher's blank Newsletter template in Canva. When students click on the link, it makes their copy in Canva. They then click a button to send it to their teacher and the teacher can comment on their work as they create!
Reach out for support if you're interested in using this with your students!
Assignments should not be published in a Blueprint. If an assignment is published when it syncs, all students have access to it immediately. Instead, after an unpublished assignment syncs to your S1/S2 course, each teacher adds due dates, optional availability dates, and publishes the assignment in that course.
Reach out with questions!
If you are a club/organization sponsor, please reference Club/Organization Sponsors- Adding Students to Canvas & Remind for details of how to add students and student officers to your club/organization's Canvas and Remind presences.
I've had to deny several student requests for Remind classes recently.
Just a friendly reminder that if you check out a Chromebook or iPad Cart, please:
Pick it up from (the day of) and return it to (end of day) its home
Make sure all devices are in the correct spot and charging
Watch the video (with sound or closed captioning)
In order to achieve my professional goal this year, one action item is for me to attend each team's PLC at least every other week and to check in with singletons at least once per month. If your team (or you as a Singleton) are working on Stage 3 (planning lessons, assessments, etc.) of UBD, please let me know so I can target those meetings. I enjoy meeting with you all of the time but targeting those visits to Stage 3 days, when possible, is more beneficial for all of us!
