Mission: Head Start is a Federal program for preschool children from low-income families. Our Mission statement reads. We, together with children, families, staff, and community, work to facilitate learning and support growth which empowers all partners in shaping their future.

Clientele: 3 to 4 year old children and their families that are 100% of poverty

Services: Comprehensive preschool services for the children, family services for the family members.

Internship Description (120 Hours): Assist classroom staff with all classroom activities including free play, lessons, gym, outdoor activities, meals, hygiene, reading, etc. Assist and participate in the planning of evening events as well as provide child care assistance for evening family events.

Advanced Internship Description (280 Hours): Assist classroom staff with all classroom activities including free play, lessons, gym, outdoor activities, meals, hygiene, reading, etc. Assist and participate in the planning of evening family events as well as provide child care assistance for evening family events. Plus provide home visits to work with parents and families to help them achieve their goals. Attend staff meetings and training sessions. Assist with other projects pertinent to Head Start at the time of placement.
