Partner families must verify an ability to pay an affordable mortgage amount determined through the information provided on the application, pay stubs, benefit statements, previously filed federal tax returns, and credit reports. Applicant gross income must fall within 30-60% of the median income. Applicants must have a steady, reliable source of income and demonstrate financial responsibility.

Habitat Home Buyers must be willing to complete “Sweat Equity” hours. Sweat Equity is when a family takes part in building their home, working at our ReStore, at special events, or other Habitat activities.

Qualified candidates will have lived in or worked in the City of Oshkosh for at least six months prior to submitting an application.
