Mission: Build and support one-to-one relationships to ignite the biggest possible futures for youth.

Clientele: Referred Youth between ages 6 to 18 and matched Youth between the ages of 6 to 18

Services: Mentoring, training, match support, agency activities and events, special programming, community resources and discounts.

Internship Description (120 Hours):

Students will be involved with engagement of our current "Match" participants. This includes planning, implementing and leading our Volunteer meetings (called Big Meet Up), notification of matches about upcoming events, activities, or free tickets. Students would also be responsible for conducting client updates for those children not currently matched in our programs, assisting with activities and/or special events, assisting with recruitment and fund-raising efforts, conducting volunteer reference checks, and other miscellaneous tasks associated donation requests or match engagement. This would be a well-rounded look at operations involved with a non-profit agency. Internship hours are primarily between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, however, evening opportunities may be available on select evenings until 7:00 pm.

Advanced Internship Description (280 Hours) : Students in the advanced internship will have similar duties to the 120 hour internship, in addition to focus on direct programming within one of our many facilitated programs, documentation, and ability to target one special project based on personal interest and interested area of growth.

Leadership Experience:

Continued Professional Development, networking opportunities, lead/facilitate volunteer meetings, engage in all staff meetings, weekly one on one support and reflective coaching meetings with supervisor, leading a key functional project, self assessments, soft skill development
