Mission: DOC's mission is to enhance public safety by managing and reducing an offender's risk to re-offend.

Clientele: **SEX OFFENDER CASELOAD**

Services: Provide supervision levels consistent with risk level; protect victims and the community; monitor treatment compliance; hold offenders accountable for behavior through sanctions and rewards; individualized case plan.

Internship Description (120 Hours): Not available to Internship students

Advanced Internship Description (280 Hours): Please note: Students are required to attend a two consecutive day training held at the DOC Training Center in Madison. The dates of the training are not optional and will most likely be scheduled on weekdays, 9:00am to 4:00pm, each month during the semester. The student will be provided with a parking pass. Mileage and meals plus overnight stay (if chosen by the student) are at the student's expense. More information will be provided during an interview.

Students will work within a team of sex offender supervision agents. Duties will include meeting 1:1 with offenders, making referrals for treatment and other community resources, discussing treatment progress, conducting home visits with another agent, assisting in violation investigations and learning all forms. The ideal candidate will be professional, self-directed, inquisitive, reliable and organized. Placement pending interview and passing background check.
