Mission: Will protect the public through the constructive management of offenders placed in its charge.

Clientele: Adults

Services: Adult probation, parole and extended supervision services.

Internship Description (120 Hrs): Please note: Students are required to attend a two consecutive day training held at the DOC Training Center in Madison. The dates of the training are not optional and will most likely be scheduled on weekdays, 9:00am to 4:00pm, each month during the semester. The student will be provided with a parking pass. Mileage and meals plus overnight stay (if chosen by the student) are at the student's expense. More information will be provided during an interview.

Complete intake/initial review functions in a manner conducive to accurately identifying case needs; initiate appropriate referrals or action resulting in recognized positive outcomes; supervisions of a case load to promote compliance with court orders and attainment of operational goals; enforce court orders and conditions of community supervision through appropriate follow-up action; promote personal safety; utilize automated systems and computer software programs; conduct interviews and investigations and analyze case information; communication skill development/advancement. Exposure to all aspects of being a probation and parole agent.
