Mission: Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services aims to empower individuals and families through education, safety and support, and lead our community to reduce the incidents and the effects of domestic abuse and dating violence.

Clientele: Men, women, teens, and children that are involved in abusive relationships and/or dating violence.

Services: Emergency Shelter, 24-hour Helpline, support groups, individual and legal advocacy, safety planning, children and teen programs, rural outreach, community education and prevention and offender intervention programming.

Internship Description (120 Hours): **Please note: a resume, cover letter and volunteer application are required for this placement prior to the interview.

An intern at Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc. will work in one of five program areas: Crisis Advocacy; Marketing and Development; Teen Advocacy Program; Youth Services Advocacy; and Volunteers and Shelter.

We offer internships with our Crisis advocacy, where the intern would act as the primary point person for all walk in clients, provide referrals, assist with questions, contact victims, and complete assessments as well as answer our crisis hotline; marketing and development, where the intern would provide assistance in fundraising, donor input, website design, administer grant funding as well as searching for community grants, and community presentations; teen advocacy program, where an intern will learn about the effects of violence that exists with teens and have the opportunity to co-facilitate teen support groups, assist with one-on-one appointments, safety plan and work closely with the school district; youth services advocacy, where the intern will assist/shadow in providing assessments, safety plans, system advocacy, referrals, supportive parenting programs, support groups and other services; volunteer and shelter program, where the intern will assist the volunteer coordinator with planning upcoming volunteer groups, assist with donation intake and put away, participate in self care groups, co-facilitate new volunteer training's monthly. The intern will assist with the agency's prevention services through various presentations within the community and area schools.

The intern will assist with the agency's prevention services through various presentations within the community and area schools. The intern is required to run a children's program one night a week during the duration of their internship at CADASI, this includes: planning projects revolving around healthy relationships or educational learning activities, assisting group facilitation, and one-on-one work with children.
