Mission: Serving those affected by unplanned pregnancy through caring support, education and community outreach, while respecting all human life.

Clientele: 70%+ low income. 13-40+ year old women facing unplanned pregnancies. Fathers are also involved in the program.

Services: Bella Medical Clinic offers both medical and pregnancy support services. The medical services offered are medical pregnancy testing, obstetrical ultrasounds, medical verification of pregnancy, medical referrals, pregnancy options education, STD testing and treatment, reproductive health information, and post-abortion recovery support. The pregnancy support services offered are pre-natal, childbirth, infant care, and parent training classes, parent support group, community resource referrals, employment, educational, relationship and housing information and material support. All services are at no cost to the client.

Internship Description (120 Hours): Bella Medical Clinic provides accurate information and education on pregnancy options, pregnancy, STD's, reproductive health, and medical and community referrals. An intern will work with Bella staff on resource development, fundraising, special event planning, developing and implementing marketing, and identify parenting program needs. Students will have the opportunity to work one-on-one and in a group setting on educating the clients on prenatal, childbirth, infant care, parent training, and community referrals. Occasionally students will work with the nurse and be present with the patient during an ultrasound or an exam. Bella Medical Clinic will also work to define the internship with the student to provide experience in areas that they specify, including grant writing, office management, event planning, facilitate a support group, etc.

Leadership Experience: In addition to the above, leadership experience may include coordinating and facilitating parent support groups and attending various types of outreach activities, educating the community about the agency's services. Other leadership experience will include assisting in fundraising events and grant writing.
