Mission: Painting Pathways Clubhouse empowers adults with diagnosed mental illness in Manitowoc County by building community, supporting recovery and changing lives..

Clientele: Painting Pathways serves adults 18 and older who have a diagnosed mental illness.

Services: Painting Pathways Clubhouse is a recovery-based program for adults who cope with the effects of mental illness. Through participation in a Clubhouses people are given the opportunity to join the worlds of friendship, family, meaningful work, employment and education.

Internship Description (120 Hours): Students will learn about the Clubhouse model of psychosocial rehabilitation. They will become familiar with our governing agency, Clubhouse International, and the 37 defining standards that Clubhouses follow. Students will work alongside members and staff in the daily operation of the Clubhouse, participating in work unit activities and job support and development. They will also have the chance to participate in goal plan and safety plan development with members incorporating the eight dimensions of wellness. Students will have the opportunity to attend board meeting, as well as, committee meetings and outside presentations.

Advanced Internship Description (280 Hours): Same as above, in addition, students will have the opportunity to develop a special project of interest to them based on an identified Clubhouse need. Students may be asked to lead Job Club or secure guest speakers to come in and present on requested topics.
