Mission: Child Care Resource and Referral, Inc., improves the quality and accessibility of early childhood education and care.

Clientele: Families of children ages 0-12 searching for regulated child care in an 8-County service delivery area (Calumet, Green Lake, Outagamie, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Winnebago and Waupaca), Regulated child care programs and prospective child care providers in a 5-County service delivery area (Calumet, Green Lake, Outagamie, Waupaca and Winnebago)

Services: Family referrals to child care and community services, Child Care Provider Recruitment and technical assistance, Professional Development and Training in evidence based curriculums including the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards, The Pyramid Model, Strengthening Families and Wisconsin Early Childhood Physical Activity Training, Outagamie, Waupaca, and Winnebago County Child Care Certification, Pre-Licensing for Group and Family Child Care Programs, Professional Resource Library, Child Care JOB LINE, Child Care Data, Special Events for Families and Child Care Providers. CCR&R is also a YoungStar Regional Office, on-site technical consulting, technical ratings, and phone support.

Internship Description (120 Hours): Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies are found in every state in the nation. CCR&R, Kimberly is one of 10 CCR&R agencies serving Wisconsin and provides services for families, child care providers, and other early childhood professional. CCR&R is a member of the Supporting Families Together Association and ®Child Care Aware America.

The 120 internship at CCR&R provides a broad range of experiences including:

• Assistance with Child Care Certification and Pre-Licensing-onsite visits, compile materials for business sessions, conduct reminder calls to participants, compile pre/post tests & evaluations.

• Assistance with the YoungStar Quality Rating and Improvement System including education on the indicators of quality child care, YoungStar requirements and the Environment Rating Scales, and onsite visits with YoungStar Technical Consultants.

• Assistance with training and professional development including compiling training packets and post training evaluations and entering participants into the WI Registry database. CCR&R interns are also offered free attendance at any training/professional development event occurring during the 120 hour internship.

• Assistance with the professional resource library & general office support including checking out materials, assisting library patrons, data entry, grant writing and project management for special events.

• Assistance with coordinating and supervising weekly volunteer projects/tasks

Advanced Internship Description (280 Hours): Not available for Advanced Internship students.
