Mission:

Proving equine based therapy to participants with special needs to enhance the quality of life.

Clientele:

BEAMING’S equine assisted therapy program enhances the quality of life for many children and adults with special emotional and behavioral needs and veterans by developing relationships between people and horses with measurable results. Among many proven benefits, riders unwittingly train their muscles and improve their neurological function and balance through riding. Horses also provide riders with the sensation of walking, since the movement of the horse closely resembles that of a human. Riders learn balance, coordination and self-assurance while receiving therapeutic muscle stimulation. Imagine being in a wheelchair after a traumatic injury and not being able to walk. The horse gives the person the sense of movement, as if they are walking again. We have achieved much success with our riders in gaining or improving strength, core balance and of course, greater self-esteem and confidence
