Internship description (120 hours): Join LiFE OF HOPE, a passion filled nonprofit organization located in West Bend, and serving all of Washington County. Gain real world experience as you support our LiFE-Saving Mission. LiFE OF HOPE is Washington County’s only dedicated suicide awareness and prevention program. You are the ideal candidate if you have a love for learning new things, have a strong work ethic, and work well independently and within a team environment. Social media experience and a willingness to learn how to manage social media and e-newsletter campaigns are a huge plus! Data entry and Excel skills will serve you well also. If you enjoy connecting with new people (phone and in person) through a message of HOPE and healing, you’ll find many opportunities await from event planning, proofing advertisement messaging, promoting upcoming events throughout the county, helping with special events, writing and publishing newsletters, and more. Bring a curiosity for research to support community outreach efforts and your internship will be a fulfilling experience. But perhaps, the most fun you will have will be relating to the amazing program development and fundraising initiatives you will be a part of. Other duties may be assigned but not to worry; they will only add value to your resume and enhance your ability to promote yourself as a well-rounded professional.
