Gatlon City is in a mess. Some Renegades have been stripped of their powers. The city's biggest threat is back. Nova and Adrian’s identities are needed to be kept secret in this time of chaos. Trying to form a larger group of allies, villains and heroes recruit more people into their ranks. Secrets buried in time will be exposed. Villains and heroes leave the world in a scrambled mess when it is time to take sides.

This book is for any lovers of superheroes, villains, and YA novels. I love it because it is a mix of all three. Meyer got so creative with her characters, and each has a unique personality and power.

Supernova by Kass Morgan is the second book in the series, so don't read this if you haven't already read the first. In the first novel were introduced to the main characters, Orelia, Vesper, and Cormak, who go through their first year at the academy. Orelia has been arrested for espionage, or which she is of course guilty. Cormak is finally starting to feel at home at the academy, and is dating Vesper, when someone discovers his secret and starts using it against him. On top of all this the battle they've been training for is coming sooner than they planned and the once top secret location of the academy has been compromised by the tracking chip Orelia was carrying. Her odds for survival look bleak, but just as she's about to give up hope she's offered a deal. The Quatrans need an interpreter if they want to talk to their enemy and she knows both languages. Will she cooperate with her enemy, or face death for treason? After all, her civilization has never negotiated peace before, they don't even have a word for it, so why bother trying. I highly recommend this book because I found it exhilarating, and it kept me reading until late at night. For this reason I gave it a five out of five rating.
