Six unique children, who have the ability to fly, live on their own and protect each other at all costs. The worst place in the world, in the eyes of these six children, is “The School”. A place where they were tortured and experimented on when they were just babies. Max, the oldest, has the responsibility of taking care of everyone, yet she is only 14 years old. The only father figure the children ever had was a man named Jeb Batchelder, who was everything to them, until he disappeared. One day, Angel, the youngest, was kidnapped by a team from “The School”. The other five children will go on a journey to rescue her, and avoid being captured themselves. Throughout the journey, the children will become more and more fascinated about their biological parents.
Overall, this book is very intriguing and entertaining. It is a rollercoaster, because some parts of the book are slow, but then all other parts are exhilarating. The exhilarating parts made me want to bite all my nails off because it was so nerve-wracking and exciting at the same time. I could picture the scenes in my head while reading. I recommend this book to a reader who enjoys action and visualization.
