Dracula by Bram Stoker is a great book written in an unusual format. The name Dracula is extremely famous, popularized by Disney Movies and pop culture, however, the book is a lot darker and show the true Dracula with whom many are unfamiliar. It is written in the format of letters, diaries, and other medias as opposed to a novel told by a narrator or by one character. It is about a man named Harker who goes to visit Count Dracula of Transylvania to help him with a purchase. Harker goes around the Count's castle and is nearly killed by vampires, and Dracula leaves for London. Back in England, one of Harker's acquaintances and his future wife's friend is acting strangely, and is reportedly being watched by the Count. The rest of the plot is for the reader to uncover.

This book is a great book, and one I would not recommend reading at night. It is full of adventure and horror, one of my favorite horror books of the era. It also reflects society at the time, with many allusions to the attitude of people in the 1800's. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a good horror novel, and it is especially interesting to read due to its unorthodox format.
