Madison | Holmdel High School, Grade 11
Rating: *****
Emilie Day is not a normal girl living in Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her best friend is her epileptic dog, and she has been homeschooled for the longest time. Emilie has been on new medication and hasn’t had a seizure for a little bit now. Therefore, her mom has enrolled her in public school. Emilie is very hesitant because she is afraid she will have a seizure in front of everyone, which would be very embarrassing. Her mother pushes her to go to school. At school, no one knows about Emilie’s epilepsy. However, she will meet the guy of her dreams, Chatham York. Emilie will face new people and new challenges throughout the book. She will have to decide between playing things safe and taking the risks.
This book is cute and interesting. It can be very predictable at times, but there will still be some shock to it. You will be able to see every side of the story from all different points of views. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good little romance, or likes to see a character change throughout the book.
