Patina by Jason Reynolds is a book about a girl who runs track. Patty gets her motivation from her Ma who can’t run again, her sister who depends on her, Momly and Uncle Tony who take care of her, and herself. But when life gets tough, and not everybody can be there to support her, can she handle it all and still be able to win her next.
Patina by Jason Reynolds is a very good book. It involves sports which I like because I am a very big sports fan. I can personally connect to this book. There was a time period where I had to run so I know what it’s like when she gets tired and wants to give up. Also, I can connect to trying to handle a little sister. I love how she has such a good connection with her sister. It really is heartwarming. Throughout this book, you read about what she has to go through. You're just rooting for her to push through and do it all. This book gives you this feeling. If you like feel good books that you can relate to, then this is a book for you.
