Paper Princess by Erin Watt is a book targeted towards young adults. It is about a teenage girl, Ella Harper, who goes through a lot of trouble in her life. Her mother died a few months ago and she never met her dad, so she has been surviving by herself for the past few months. One day, a man shows up at her school, claiming to be her dad's best friend, Callum Royal. She had never met her dad, so she doesn't believe him. Callum is persistent in getting Ella to move in with him because it was, according to Callum, what her dad would've wanted. After much resistance, Ella finally gives in. He moves her into his mansion with his five sons and does everything to make her comfortable, but the royal family loathes her already, especially his son Reed. Reed is doing everything in his power to make her life miserable. He doesn't want her here; he says she doesn't belong. Her new life is now filled with wealth and deception, and unlike anything, she's ever experienced. Ella has to find out how to survive in the Royal palace without these sons ruining her. Ella has been through a lot and this change could be the best or worst thing that happens to her.
Paper Princess is a romantic, fantastical novel that had me wanting to read more. This was a page-turner that also taught me many lessons along the way. This story about these teenagers is incredibly addicting. They leave you off on cliffhangers, which always made me keep reading. Although there isn’t a plot, it is more about the eventful life of this young girl. This book was addicting and would probably be one of my favorites.
