Wonder is written by R.J. Palacio and takes place in Upper Manhattan, New York City. Wonder main protagonist, August Pullman, is a 10 year old boy who has a genetic facial difference. August's family has always been very loving and caring towards August, always being there for him. As a result of this, they have tried to shield August from all the negative things from the outside world by homeschooling August his whole life. This all changes in the gut wrenching decision by August and his family, that August should do the 5th grade in a in school environment with his other peers.
Overall Wonder is an emotional and exciting rollercoaster of emotions! Some points of the book may make you sad while other parts may make you excited and happy for the characters. This book is so fantastic that it was nearly impossible to put down. Wonder does such an amazing job at intertwining and having so much detail for a middle school book. This includes the complexity of characters, August's genetic facial and difference, and many other things. This book is one of, if not, my favorite books of all time. To whoever reads this, if you haven't read this book then you should at least give this book a chance because you will definitely not regret it!

The book Wonder, authored by R. J. Palacio, is a realistic fiction novel about a boy named August. It discusses his life and his struggles with having the rare facial condition called Treacher Collins Syndrome. This condition is when there is a genetic mutation in the face. August, also known as Auggie has new experiences that are tough for him but he has help along the way to get through it.
Wonder is such an amazing book. It really displays and tells us how just because not everyone looks, acts, and speaks the same way, doesn't mean they are any different from you. Judging a book by its cover is something that people do everyday and it needs to stop. Everyone is perfect and special even if they are different. The book Wonder is really amazing and helps people realize how we are all unique and beautiful.

The book Wonder, written by R.J. Palacio is about 10 year old boy, August Pullman who had a genetic facial disability. He had been homeschooled his whole life by his mother until the fifth grade. His family loves him very much and they try to shield him from the cruel parts of the world as much as they can, but as August grows he can not be learning from his mother. Since August looks different than all the other students he is a victim to harsh bullying, such as threats and drawings. But with the help of his kind friends and family he is able to overcome the bullies and enjoy his years at school.
Wonder, in my opinion was a wonderful read. R.J. Palacio wrote this book very realistically, in teaching readers that life will have ups and downs, but she also teaches that with loving family and friends you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way. I really like what R.J. Palacio taught to the readers, but I also loved that she wrote the book based on perspective, for example for a few chapters they would be in August perspective, and in another if would be in oue of August's friends perspective. So, overall I think that R.J. Palacio wrote the book amazing, and that she wrote very great life lessons to the readers.

Wonder is a great book that teaches you the bright side of situations and kindness. August or Auggie, strives to be as ordinary as he can but was born with a facial deformation. August lives in Upper Manhattan, New York City and attends Breecher Prep as a normal 5th grader would. From basically the start of August’s life he was home schooled because of what he looked like and so others kids and wouldn't treat him negatively. His family always supports him with love and encouragement no matter what.
Overall, Wonder was definitely a great book to read and see life in someone else's shoes. The book makes you feel like you are in the story at some points which is awesome. It has many curve balls but yet sad and exciting moments. I would give this book 5 stars and if you haven’t read it yet, you should read it soon!

Wonder By R.J. Palacio is about a 10 year old boy named August Pullman. August has a genetic facial difference which makes him feel self-conscious. His family has always been extremely supportive through the good and bad times. In fact, they even homeschooled August to prevent him from having negative interactions with other students. However, everything changes when August and his parents decide that he should go back to school. August is going to do 5th grade in a normal school environment with other students.
In my opinion, this book was very interesting. I really enjoyed reading it and learning all about August Pullman’s crazy life. The book was sad at times, but was very addicting and I always wanted to keep reading.

Wonder is a book about a young boy, named Auggie. Auggie was born with a facial difference and used to always be homeschooled. However, now he wants to go to school and be an ordinary kid, but the other students can't see past his extraordinary face. As Auggie enters his new school, he faces many devastating issues with the other children. Because of this, Auggie receives all the attention from his parents, while his sister gets none, which affects her terribly. This book shows different points of view, such as Auggie's, his sister's, her boyfriend's, and others, and the struggles they all face. Read Wonder to find out what Auggie and his sister face, and how they fight through their conflicts.
I love this book as it is not only very interesting, but it also teaches readers about empathy, acceptance, friendship, and kindness. This book demonstrates struggles that many of the readers may face. This is a moving, heart-warming book that young children would love. This book was a beautifully thought out and attention-grabbing story.

Auggie Pullman was born with a severe facial deformity which causes him to feel isolated from his fellow classmates. Not all kids are nice. His appearance makes strangers judge him before getting to know his personality. This proves difficult for Auggie to make new friends, until he meets another boy named Jack. Wonder follows the story of Auggie and his supportive family as he navigates the world of high school and learns to love himself.
Although the novel is mostly told from Auggie’s perspective, the other perspectives of his friends and family offer a greater insight in his life. This creates an interesting dynamic since I can see how Auggie affects every character in the novel. Throughout the chapters, the novel made me engaged throughout Auggie’s journey of self acceptance. Despite being targeted for a younger audience, anyone can enjoy this novel and I definitely recommend reading this book.
