The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee transports you into a futuristic version of New York City. The only difference is that most of the inhabitants now reside in an enormous building with an innumerable amount of floors. The higher you go, the more privileged it becomes. The lower you go, the less fortunate it becomes. The book follows the lives of five teenagers all living on the same building in the most different ways. Despite being so different, little do they know that they have an imprinting impact on each other's lives. I loved how this book sent me into a different universe while simply reading it. Each chapter withholds a different point of view but continues the story in a dramatic way. I adored the concept of most of the population making a living inside a gigantic tower, especially since it's rather unique.
