Young Lousia Clark, part of a struggling family, had recently lost her job and is seeking a new one. She is lucky enough to find a good paying job from the Traynors as a caregiver for their son, Will Traynor, a wealthy young banker left paralyzed from a motorcycle accident two years earlier. Before the accident Will lived a full exciting life, and is still struggling accepting his new reality. She, energetic, quirky, and cheerful, is tasked with helping him see his life is worth living, even though she lives an extraordinarily ordinary life. As their bond deepens, each are introduced to new and exciting things, changing who they were before they met each other.
Beautifully written story. It was funny, heartbreaking, interesting, romantic, and has likable characters, Lou and Will’s relationship is especially well written. Through her amazing writing I really did get a feel of the struggles faced by a quadriplegic, and I was able to feel the emotions of every character. It really gets the reader reflecting on their own lives while tackling a serious and touchy subject in an eye opening way. The ending was good, very realistic and sad, but I think I can say for everyone we all wished a different ending.
