As the second book of the School for Good and Evil series, A World Without Princes has a lot to live up to, and it certainly does. Sophie and Agatha successfully make it back to their home in Gavaldon, leaving Tedros behind, but they have no idea that they have left the Woods in shambles. A world once divided between Good and Evil is now divided between Boy and Girl, with witches and princess joining forces and ganging up on princes and sorcerers. When Agatha makes a wish that can destroy her friendship with Sophie, which has just now mended, Sophie questions her Never After.
With enough magic to spellbind anyone, A World Without Princes challenges a conventional fairytale- and the result is a book like no other.
This book is ideal for fantasy and adventure lovers alike. The book is fast paced, and there isn’t a single idle moment in the book. There is always something going on, whether it is magic, mystery, betrayal, spying, action, or magical fighting. My most favorite aspect of the book was how real everything felt, from the fighting to the scenery to the magic. Soman effortlessly put together a beautiful world that is the School for Good and Evil series.
